Mounted Combat Patrol Training - Break Time/Photo Op

We were halfway through the MCP course at this point and still smiling, but under those vests ran rivers of sweat.  As a side note this is the gentleman I picked to be my partner in the hand-to-hand training earlier in the month - brilliant!

Fire Extinguisher Clean-Up

That is Andy who is cleaning up the nice purple powder that fired out of the fire extinguisher the night before when he was exiting the vehicle.  But if you look closely at the doors you will notice that this is indeed an up-armored HMMWV.

HMMWV Cleaning Day

This is where we cleaned the HMMWV's -- with water cannons.  I was the driver and I can tell you it ain't water tight.  But I fared better than the guy who was to my right as his team managed to fire right into the places that ensured maximum driver soakage.

M4 Qualification

Awaiting my turn at qualification, which is done in armor.  It was in the 90's so notice that I am cooling off by not wearing my gloves.

Just Another Day At The Office

This was at the Zero Range -- it was still fun and games at this point.
